When We Meet
SUNDAY
We meet together on the “Lords day” at : 11.00 am and 6.00 pm.

Sunday School 9.45 am (except 1st Sunday each Month when we have our communion service at 10.15 am).

TUESDAY
Our ladies have their “Fellowship” at : 1.45 pm.

WEDNESDAY
Our Prayer and Bible ministry meeting at
: 7.30 pm.

FRIDAY
Childrens meetings as announced.

The home I grew up in was a happy one but my family did not attend church.
However, one thing my mother encouraged me to do was to pray. Mostly it was just “God bless mum, dad etc.!” and the same prayer every night.

I was brought up in a Christian family. I have been going to Bethany Baptist chapel all my life and have been brought up to know the teachings of the bible. Since I was young I have always gone to Sunday school and Boy’s Brigade at Bethel church. By going to all these things I knew most of the bible stories in my head, but not in my heart.

I was brought up in a Christian home and have had Bible teaching from a very young age, The meaning of the term ‘Christian’ did not even cross my mind as I thought that it was the ‘norm’ to go to church. It was almost a routine for me, I went to church and Sunday school weekly, I prayed before meals and prayed before bedtimes...

Because I was brought up in a Christian home and attended church every week I took it for granted that I was a Christian, maybe I wasn’t as devout as some others in the church but nevertheless I took it for granted I was a Christian. I was very familiar with the Gospel story, but I hardly opened my bible and rarely said my prayers.
