I was brought up in a Christian family. I have been going to Bethany Baptist chapel all my life and have been brought up to know the teachings of the bible. Since I was young I have always gone to Sunday school and Boy’s Brigade at Bethel church. By going to all these things I knew most of the bible stories in my head, but not in my heart.
Every year, at Bethel church, a “Holiday Bible Club” is held for aged primary aged children. I ended up going to one when I was around the age on 8. Throughout the week we took part in games, watched plays and then went into small groups for a sort of epilogue. On the last day of Holiday Bible Club the subject was on “where are you going when you die?” It struck me that if I died that day that I wouldn’t be going to heaven, so I asked how to become a Christian. I went home that night and prayed to God that he would forgive me and take control of my life. I had become a Christian.
Even now God is working in my life. I know that he has a plan for me, even though I don’t know what it is yet. It is tough being a Christian but God is always with me and he always pulls me through.
I hope that this has been an encouragement to you.
